STUDENT GROUPS
We serve corporate clients (including BPOs, hospitals, and care homes), educational institutions, and recruitment agencies. Our focus is on enhancing staff communication skills and preparing candidates for IELTS or OET exams, which are often required for overseas work visas.
We've been in partnership with some of the biggest care groups in the UK that have senior carers working for them that they would like to train to pass the English requirement (IELTS or OET) for NMC registration. We can teach in our offices or we can go to their care homes to train.
We travel across the UK to teach groups of medical professionals preparing for their OET exam - we do regular training in Glasgow/Aberdeen, Manchester/Birmingham and London.

We were invited by PESO Guimaras to support their students who are graduating this year by preparing them on how to write their CVs and be more confident on job interviews.
We were invited by PESO Kalibo (Aklan) to support their new workers as they apply for jobs and get interview. We assessed CVs, gave advice, we did role-plays to improve their interview skills, etc.
This is our first group of workers hired by a New Zealand company to work as beekeepers. They completed their beekeeping training at St Louis University, Baguio before they were turned over to SGR for English Communication training. We incorporated NZ culture, weather, and Kiwi language and even prepared them for their immigration interview so that they would not panic!

We also get referrals from our education partners, these are academic students who wish to study abroad for their MSc/Phd in Australia, the UK, or Canada.
We also have private individual bookings of academic students preparing for their IELTS training in our Kalibo office as part of their visa requirement to study in Canada.
Training in the Philippines will not be the same without food! Our students taking a break from their intensive studies with drinks and pizza!
We are also in partnership with recruitment agencies who would like to ensure that their recruits are able to pass the IELTS General Training exam for work visa purposes. We travel to client locations as requested - Manila, Cebu, Baguio, Iloilo, Davao and other parts of the Philippines.
We love teaching High School and College students (typically senior/graduating students) as organised and requested by the local government. We teach English communication skills, CV writing and interview skills for future employability.
It is always good to hear back from our students and be part of their success.
Sunita is one of our trainees from our care group client and she was booked on our 1:1 intensive lessons. She has a good grasp of the English language and works hard during her lessons. She passed the OET exam back in April 2022.
She is now currently making preparations for her OSCE exam this August 2022.
Dr Bruno booked lessons in Writing and Speaking. We redesigned the lesson plan as he is an upper C1 student but lacking confidence in Writing. We guided him on this path but we were very confident that he will pass. AND HE DID!
Exactly as we predicted, his exam score was upper B (440), very close to A.
We first met Mae in January 2019, she joined our OET group for a 4 week intensive course. She took extra classes to perfect her OET Writing, her weakest area. Mae listened, worked hard and eventually passed her OET in mid-2019.
Happy to inform that she is now a fully certified UK nurse based in Edinburgh.

I am very grateful to Grace my OET teacher who helped me a lot with her tips on how to pass OET exam. There’s lots of things which you don’t know them if you practice alone at home and the exam seems to be much easier if you do know these tricks. I am now a nurse for a year and a half and I am happy to practice the job I want!!!

I was frustrated and depressed 😫, I felt that I will never pass the writing part of the OET exam. But what happened after taking the writing preparation course with you that I passed the exam with 370 in writing 💪, and now I achieved my dream and I am currently in Australia.

My classes with SGR group has been awesome. I have been taking the classes for almost two months, two to three times a week and I am really happy about my improvement. Now I feel more comfortable and secure with my Reading and writing capabilities.
One great thing about the class is that I could fix my goals with my teacher Grace so she prepared the lessons according to that. It was a completely customized program. I thank my teacher Grace for all her patience and extraordinary enjoyment of teaching English. I fully recommend SGR group as I was eventually able to pass my OET exam with ease so I could move on to the next chapter of my life and take my plab exam to become a doctor in the UK.
